Thursday Oct 11 we left Glen NH and head to CT to spend a few days with Phil's family.  It took a couple of false starts to actually get out of the Storyland parking lot:  first we realized that we had left a load of clothes in the dryer and then found that the rattling noise we were trying to decipher was actually the door of the RV flapping through downtown Conway.

We parked the rig at cousin Tom's machine shop in Windsor CTwhich provided us with electricity, wi-fi, a vehicle (not on a trailer) and ping pong.  The neighborhood was great for walking the dogs as it was close to a large open field (a little too large- see below)

We enjoyed visiting with cousin Tom and had dinner with him that night.  Friday we drove to Rocky Hill to see Lillian, Phil's mom. we took her out for yummy fish and chip lunch at City Fish.  To work of the surfeit of fried  goodness we went to Mt Case for a lovely walk that culminated in a view of the skyline of Hartford.  Not the scale of the Whites but pleasant nonetheless!

We headed to cousin Tom's new house in Manchester and I was able to meet his son Austin and see some of his amazing artwork.  Then off to the Main Pub nearby to meet Phil's sister Linda, her daughter Leann and son Jeff. We spend a few hours visiting.
On Saturday morning we took the hounds for a long walk and since it was a beautiful morning and we had an enormous field to play in, we let Cruise off the leash for a romp- I mean, after all what could go wrong......  Well things were pretty smooth until the Cruise got a case of the stubborns.  He took off and roamed the environs without regard for  the traffic laws.  He was finally apprehended and calm restored.  I enjoyed a serene session of Yoga in Tom's very sunny spare office, while Phil mumbled veiled threats to Cruise most of the rest of the day.

We headed to Linda's new apartment in Plainville to meet her, Leann and Lillian for lunch.  She served us a Pouliot classic which was well received by all.  Phil and I availed ourselves of her conventional plumbing and got cleaned up. We headed to Rocky Hill and took the wonderful ferry to Glastonbury.  Drove through Glastonbury admiring so many beautiful old homes.

Lauren and Andy's wedding.  Lauren is Phil's second cousin and the event brought Pouliots together from near and far (well mostly near -except Phil)   The ceremony was held outside at the Northwest Park in Windsor.  The reception was held at the Nature center in an old converted tobacco barn.  I was a little nervous as we were not exactly invited to attend but we conjured up a couple of chairs and were soon well into the mix.  It was pretty much a total immersion into Pouliot clan for me.  I loved meeting everyone and the whole clan was very welcoming to  this wedding crasher!

Sunday morning we eased into the day with a visit from Tom & Karen and JP.  It was great for Phil to be able to see his family and for me to meet them.  We packed up and took to the road midday.... headed to PA.
